Earthwork Modeling
We utilize PDF documents or CAD drawings to create an earthwork model based on your site's existing and proposed grades followed by carefully adding each surface region with its subgrade depth. We are then able to accurately determine your required import / export, whether sitewide or for specific regions you request.
If you have a geotechnical report available, this can be added to the earthwork model to provide cut by strata data and cross section reports.
Whether your site has suitable soils, rock, shrink/swell clays, or a little of everything, StrongOaks can help you determine accurate earthwork quantities.
Civil Takeoff
If you need a full civil takeoff for demolition, erosion control, earthwork, new items, & utilities or just a partial takeoff for one particular scope, StrongOaks will work with you to provide just the data you need.
Surface area, subgrade material volumes, item counts, item lengths, and more are tallied and totaled. Quantity reports are available by default in PDF and XLSX format. Do you have an estimating platform you already use, whether in-house or third party? We can work with you to provide data that's ready to cut and paste or importable directly from CSV.
GPS Models
Working directly from customer-supplied files (CAD drawing or quality PDF), we model job sites in three dimensions for GPS automated machine control.
These 3D models can also be used for accurate takeoffs or site visualization and evaluation. Attention to detail is important for machine control and we strive to ensure that our model is precise across the entire site.
We then work with the customer as needed to convert our accurate triangulated model surface into the files the manufacturer of their machine control equipment requires, such as Leica, Topcon, Trimble, CAT, or Komatsu.
Site Plan Geolocation
Geolocated Site Plans can be opened with any GPS-enabled* smartphone or tablet to allow users to move around the jobsite and see their immediate location depicted on the 2D plan.
GPS rovers are still a necessity when it comes to accuracy, but geolocated site plans ar a valuable reference tool unmatched for their ease of use and propagation. Here are some of their benefits:
